In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.

The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
